Labor Day Weekend Dinner Party
It’s been a while since we’ve had people over. This weekend, some of our friends who were around for the weekend came over for dinner. It was so nice to make it back to the farmer’s market and get the last of the great summer produce: corn, tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, and peaches.
I also go to use some of my awesome new wedding gifts: a Minnesota cutting board, a silver chips and dips tray, a mother of pearl tray, and pretty champagne glasses with filigree. We mixed an matched our new entertaining dishes with our everydays since we don’t quite have the whole set yet.
I also got to serve some of the beautiful Virginia wine I’ve picked up over the summer. One of the favorites was the Linden Seyval wines we served as our cocktail wine, shown below.
